RPEQ Assessment Body RPEQ Logo

Under the Queensland ‘Professional Engineers Act 2002’, engineers practicing in Queensland are required to be registered with the Board of Professional Engineers Queensland.

Registration as an RPEQ entitles professional engineers to use the title, “Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland”, or the abbreviation, “RPEQ”, and adds your name to the Roll of Registered Professional Engineers of Queensland.

This differentiates you as a professional engineer and is confirmation that you have met certain professional, educational and competency requirements. Registration provides protection for professional engineers by ensuring that unqualified people do not practise as engineers in Queensland.

As an approved assessing authority for RPEQ registration, IPWEA Queensland provides a seamless process for assessment and draws on the highest levels of membership – that of Emeritus and Fellow – to assess applications throughout Queensland.
